MOMMY
Not a day goes by......
I do as I'm told and try to be good,
Cause my actions are so misunderstood.
I drove mommy crazy and now she's gone,
It's with me she does belong.
I stay here and try to smile,
My mommy is gone for awhile.
She's trying to be better just for me,
She hasn't found herself you see.
I came into the world alone,
and chose to live in her home.
She wasn't ready for me at all,
Cause I was so tiny and small.
Not a day goes by that I don't cry,
And Grandma hugs me and I don't know why.
My face gets wet with my tears,
And Grandma calms my fears.
I'm watching over Sissy,
So she doesn't get hurt.
But, mostly she thinks about Ernie and Burt.
As long as I stay right by her side,
It gives me a lot of pride.
At night by my bed we kneel and pray,
That soon someday,
Mommy will find herself and Jesus,
and come back home to be with us.
I keep my faith that soon she'll be,
The bestest Mommy
